Tim Grey-Smith is our Partner based in our Perth office with a focus on West Australian and Commonwealth Government work.

Tim is a trusted advisor, advocate and political strategist. He has worked as a senior advisor in the WA State Government, and for Federal Members of Parliament. Since 2017, Tim has worked either within, or in roles engaging deeply with the McGowan and Cook Governments. He has an exceptional network and unparalleled understanding of the priorities, dynamics and relationships shaping West Australian politics and decision making.

He is also one of West Australia’s most successful political campaigners. He directed successful seat-based campaigns, delivering ‘surprise’ results in both the 2022 and 2025 Federal elections. He has also worked extensively at a local government level, including serving as a City of Fremantle Councillor from 2009-2013. He has also directed several successful Mayoral election campaigns over the last decade.

Tim is known for developing meaningful and trusted relationships with clients, driven by his expert knowledge and network, and ability to understand complex issues quickly. He also loves a dad joke.
