QLD Cabinet Reshuffle
Yesterday, Premier Peter Beattie reshuffled portfolios in Cabinet.
As part of the reshuffle Anna Bligh has assumed the Premier’s Treasury responsibility, to become Deputy Premier, Treasurer and Minister for State Development, Trade and Innovation.
In addition, the Premier’s Parliamentary Secretary Andrew Fraser will take a role assisting the Health Minister Stephen Robertson, making Health the only portfolio with two Parliamentary Secretaries.
Also announced was a renewed focus on water, with the Premier undertaking to work closely with Henry Palaszuk, the Minister for Natural Resources, Mines and Water, the Co-ordinator General and a whole-of-government water taskforce.
