The National Priority List
The National Priority List is essentially a pipeline of projects Infrastructure Australia considers key to strengthening the economy, dealing with the challenges of sustainable population growth, export bottlenecks, urban congestion and climate change.
The projects on the list are rigorously assessed as having real merit or significant potential. The List is there to guide the long term investment decisions of both the public and private sectors, including super funds.
Future updates to the National Priority List will be completed by 30 June each year.
The National Priority List is available in the report, Getting the fundamentals right for Australia’s infrastructure priorities, on pages 50-51 (Appendix B).  See http://www.infrastructureaustralia.gov.au/files/Report_to_COAG_2010.pdf.

The Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government, the Hon. Anthony Albanese MP, welcomed the updated National Priority List.
