Our heritage
Hawker Britton was established in April 1997 by Bruce Hawker and David Britton, who founded the firm in Sydney. From the outset, the business was built around deep political knowledge, strong judgement and a clear understanding of how government decisions shape commercial and institutional outcomes.
Over time, Hawker Britton expanded beyond New South Wales to build a broader national presence, opening offices in Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide and Canberra, and extending into New Zealand through Wellington. That growth reflected both the firm’s specialist focus and the increasing importance of government relations across multiple jurisdictions.
