Changes to the Shadow Ministry

The Leader of the Opposition, Tony Abbott, today announced changes to the Shadow Ministry.

  • Senator Barnaby Joyce has been appointed to the position of Shadow Minister for Regional Development, Infrastructure and Water (he is no longer the Shadow Finance Minister). Senator Joyce will continue to represent the Finance portfolio in the upper house
  • Ian Macfarlane has been appointed to the position of Shadow Minister for Energy and Resources.
  • Andrew Robb will take on the responsibilities of Shadow Minister for Finance and Debt Reduction in addition his role as Chairman of the Coalition’s Policy Development Committee.
  • Warren Truss is the Shadow Minister for Trade, Transport and Local Government.
