Stephen Halliday brings more than 20 years experience
in the politics, government and media in South Australia
to the position of Director of Hawker Britton (SA).
Stephen was Chief of Staff to Mike Rann as both
Premier and Opposition Leader (1994-2004) with key
involvement in peak decision making on parliamentary,
policy and political management. He had strategic
involvement in the 1997 and 2002 State election campaigns.
In this role Stephen gained vital experience of government
at the highest level across the broadest range of
policy issues.
He has also served as a Media Adviser to South Australian
Governments and Oppositions and prior to this worked
as the Secretary of the Australian Journalists Association
and President of the Media Entertainment and Arts
Alliance after a career as a journalist in TV and
radio in Adelaide.
This gives Stephen the most well rounded and detailed
knowledge of the current political, government and
media environment that will give Hawker Britton clients
the public affairs edge in South Australia.
