Megan Anwyl leads Hawker Britton’s team in Western Australia.
Megan is one of WA’s most experienced corporate strategic advisers and is a specialist in federal, state and local government relations. She has been a full-time lobbyist for more than 15 years.
Megan has represented a diverse range of ASX 200 companies in most areas of government endeavour but with a particular focus on regional development, minerals and energy projects.
Currently the Chairman of the Magnetite Network- MagNet, Megan formed this industry group in 2009 to represent the interests of magnetite producers. As inaugural Chairman of the North West Iron Ore Alliance Megan facilitated access to 50 million tonnes at Port Hedland inner harbour in 2008 for five junior ASX-listed mining companies including Atlas Iron. She aided the formation of the DomGas Alliance in 2006.
With five years’ Parliamentary experience as the State Labor Member for Kalgoorlie Megan held various Shadow Ministries and delivered strong social justice and native title outcomes during these years. Prior to her election Megan practised law for 11 years making for keen skills in obtaining political support, policy and regulatory outcomes.
In collaborating with key stakeholders to achieve her clients’ strategic goals she has built networks across all levels of politics and government. She maintains strong links to many regional communities and the media.
Megan is the immediate Past President of the Labor Business Roundtable and Co-chairs the Energy & Resources Committee of ACBC (WA).
