John Whitelaw comes to Hawker Britton after a twenty-year career as a political advisor at the highest level of the Western Australian Government.  He was a senior adviser to Premier Geoff Gallop in Opposition and in Government and has been Chief of Staff for two senior Government Ministers.

With hands-on experience in the development and implementation of government policy, John has expertise in regional development, planning, land administration, local government and community services. Over the past two years he has also worked in the areas of water resources, police and emergency services, community safety and sport and recreation.

He comes to Hawker Britton from the Office of the Minister John Kobelke, a senior minister in the Carpenter Government.

He is widely respected for his professionalism, knowledge of the business of government and his ethical behaviour. His experience is contemporary - he knows the issues and the people of government and he is uniquely placed to provide your company with advice on all tiers of government.
