With extensive campaign experience at a local, state and federal level, David Nelson brings to Hawker Britton a demonstrated ability to formulate and implement effective communication strategies.

Before joining Hawker Britton, David worked with Brisbane's Deputy Mayor in the period of transition following the 2004 election.  In this time David developed a detailed understanding and knowledge of the workings of local Council and its role in this difficult political climate.

David has also worked in the offices of both State and Federal Parliamentarians and has a wealth of experience in local issue management and community consultation.

The highlight of David's campaign experience was the role he played in coordinating the successful Labor campaign on the Gold Coast during the 2004 State Election.

David is currently completing a dual Arts/Law Degree at the University of Queensland where he specialises in Government and Labour Law.
