South Australian Cabinet Reshuffle

South Australian Premier Mike Rann today announced a minor reshuffle of his cabinet, brought about by the promotion of two new Ministers.

Tom Koutsantonis becomes the new Minister for Correctional Services, Road Safety, Gambling Volunteers and Minister assisting the Minister for Multicultural Affairs.

Michael O’Brien has been sworn in as the new Minister for Employment, Further Education and Training and Minister for Science and Information Economy.

The Premier welcomed the new Ministers in the week of the seventh anniversary of the election of the South Australian Labor Government in 2002. Premier Rann said he hoped the new Ministers would bring “renewed vitality” to the areas of responsibility.

Meanwhile, alongside his role as Minister for Industrial Relations, Paul Caica has become the new Minister for Agriculture, Food and Fisheries and the Minister for Regional Development.

In addition, Chloe Fox is the new Parliamentary Secretary to the Premier.
