Senior Government Appointments

Today the Prime Minister has announced several senior appointments of interest.

• Mr Finn Pratt PSM –will be new CEO of Centrelink (replacing retiring CEO Jeff Whalan)
• Dr Jeffrey Harmer –will be reappointed as Secretary of the Department of Families, Housing and Community Services
• Ms Jane Halton PSM –will be reappointed as Secretary of the Department of Health and Ageing
• Mr Michael Taylor AO –will be reappointed as Secretary of the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government

The Secretary appointments are all for a period of five years with effect from 26 October 2008.
